Hi, I’m Matt.


My job is to imagine things that don’t exist, then make them real. I’ve been doing it for two decades, and sometimes I still can’t believe it’s an actual job.

I’ve worked for the empires and the pirates, and learned a lot from both. 

The empires showed me that commerce is the fuel that makes everything possible. None of us get to do this if we don’t drive business. 

The pirates taught me that love and loyalty are earned, not owed. That brands have the power to make the world more interesting, and when they get it right, people do irrational things for them in return.

My work defies convention. That’s by design. I believe that comfort is the enemy of creativity, and the fastest way to get comfortable is to repeat yourself. I’ve always followed my curiosity wherever it wanted to go, and it’s never taken me down the same road twice. 

I’ve spent my career surrounded by extraordinary creative minds, and from them I’ve learned that every human on earth is unique. I lead my teams with that understanding. I never try to shape people into something they’re not. The work gets better when we all lean into what makes us different.
